Hawthornes Young Goodman Brown
Honestly, i dont think this will be the most important thing i ever learn, but i do think it was a valuable lesson. Im not sure what the exact moral of the story is but according to Dr. Preston its a story about acquiring knowledge. I think people should always be open to learn, but i think there's a limit for everything. "Curiosity killed the cat", this quote is saying there are just something people shouldn't know. I personally don't think Goodman Brown should have gone in the forest because in the knowledge he gained it brought him nothing but depression and loathing. So yes and no, it was an important lesson, but i also think this story was a warning. After all, its called the "unknown" for a reason, dontcha think?
